Simply There
November sun
shines warmly
as it slides
toward
the piney horizon.
Wild, misty surf roars
onto the beach,
swashes
around
our bare feet
as we walk
in settled wonder.
Breath deepens,
wonder widens,
delight suffuses.
Wispy clouds
stir us to soften
ever more
into our wise,
wonderful bodies.
Footprints on the beach,
ours and others,
mingle and merge.
Though wind and waves
will wash them away,
these sensations of
awareness,
gratitude,
connection,
hope
nestle comfortably within.
Simply there…
to notice, honor,
empower.
