These posts are visible with my most recent writing at the top, but the story starts with the first post. The poems have been added more or less as they surfaced and evolved through the process. Sweet Relief

Sweet Relief

Wide open, full-on feeling,
wholly being in the body.
No threat to allowing
the full spectrum of emotions
that accompany being human.
They come, go, ebb, flow
with absolutely no need to feel wrong.
Even the sense of teetering on the edge
of previous pitfalls,
maybe even slipping in a bit,
carries no danger.
Remembering to ponder, consider,
determine what is actually going on
within and without.
Simply sitting with the
sensations and emotions,
letting the truth unroll, caress, and protect
like a warm, woolly blanket.
No concern of being ‘too’ of anything –
quiet, loud, happy, sad,
weak, strong, energetic, weary.
What sweet relief all this exploring
is bringing to this wide-eyed warrior.
Intrepid, soft-hearted, loving spirit
joyfully embraces the solace
that more and more saturates her cells.
Sweet, gentle, loving relief
with moments of no hurt,
no worries, no wonders,
and no threat… even to that.
