| Fishing Point, Newfoundland |
Steely Cliffs
I sit by wind-stirred waters
near my home,
ponder an experience
that ruffles within.
My gaze drifts upward
to the branches of a white pine,
their movement
a breathy dance of joy.
Somehow, this stirs memories
of Newfoundland’s
pristine ocean waters.
I see their vibrant rhythms,
feel them within.
Waves that pulse
into steely cliffs,
form tiny waterfalls
in nooks and crannies
at the waterline
as they recede.
I realize I must have
some hollows
of my own
being cleansed.
A frothy freedom reveals,
the dynamic
balance of healing
and Health
undeniably
at play.
